  • Starting Wednesday, July 6, 2016 the Waltham Museum will feature a month long exhibit of fashion icon YOLANDA’s exquisite gowns accompanied by artifacts related to Yolanda’s fifty years of fashion.
    If you have a passion for fashion, come and experience glamour and glitz in all its glory.
  • The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation is hosting a special event: The W.H. Nichols Family and Company on display through the end of the year.
  • The Watch City Bike Lab operating every Sunday at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation all summer long!
  • Saturday, July 9, 2016 is Metz Auto Day, an annual event at the Waltham Museum. In addition to the auto exhibit, Metz artifacts will be featured. A Metz Auto lecture by local historian Robert McGann will take place at 1:00 pm in the museum. Admission is free. As always, donations are gratefully accepted.
  • Tuesday, July 12, 2016 Waltham Historical Society presents: Meet Dr. Alfred Worcester: Pioneer of surgery, nursing education, geriatrics, and palliative care; Native son of Waltham. View lecture description.
  • Wednesday, July 13, 2016, 6:30 – 8:00 pm join The Friends of the Waltham Public Library invite you to our annual Ice Cream Social and free concert on the front lawn of the Waltham Public Library, 735 Main St. Waltham. Fun for all ages! Cool off with delicious Lizzy’s ice cream for only $1 per cup. Enjoy live, big-band style jazz music from the Jazzabelles, an all-female jazz band. Put on your dancing shoes or bring your own chair or blanket and sit back and enjoy the show. Don’t miss this popular event! (Rain Date: July 20)
  • Friday, July 22, 2016, 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm, The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation is excited to welcome the founders of the Vortic Watch Co for a day long series of events celebrating Waltham’s “Watch City” history! Three special events are scheduled. Click here to view events.
  • Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm join Waltham Museum for a presentation by local videographer Jonathan Boschen on the Embassy Theatre, titled “Waltham’s Wonder Theater”. Admission is free. As always, donations are gratefully accepted.
  • Wednesday, July 27, 2016, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, join Amy S. Green, Ph.D. Resident historian at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, for a presentation Mill Talk: The Bicycle Craze of the 1890s. Come learn about the bicycling craze of the late 19th century and Waltham’s noteworthy place in this historical era.
